Help for Rescuers

My favorite population of cats to work with are the fearful ones. In my many years of working with cats, I have come to learn that many caregivers are unsure of how to work with fearful or aggressive felines, and as a result, it takes much longer to get them adopted. Sometimes their needs are never properly identified and met, resulting in a cat that hides much of the time, may resort to aggressive behaviors, or could be deemed as unadoptable. â€‹These are the types of cats I want to help most. And it all starts with the caregivers.

If you are a rescue organization, foster, trapper, or other type of caregiver of unowned cats, please reach out to me if you are seeking behavioral help. I will always help when I can, and I will work on a sliding scale for those who are not able to afford my normal rates. Please reach out and let's have a conversation.

Topics I may be able to help you with include:

Troubleshooting fear-based behaviors

Working with aggressive behaviors

Travel/carrier transportation

Litter box avoidance

Deciding whether a cat is adoptable

Foster room setup

Navigating support from a rescue/shelter

Training and support for foster parents

Please note that I do not typically take on inter-cat aggression or cat-cat introduction cases, but please feel free to contact me to discuss. I do not work on cases with dogs, unless it is a very mild issue.
