Green Tripe - Why Feed It?
Green tripe is the unprocessed stomach lining of ruminant animals, such as cow, buffalo, and sheep.
☝️ Tripe aids with digestion, since cats & dogs being fed processed diets (dry kibble, in particular) are lacking essential enzymes in their diet.
☝️ Tripe is full of nutrients, including minerals, amino acids, and essential fatty acids.
☝️ Tripe supports gut & immune system health.
☝️ Tripe is good for dogs/cats with kidney disease.
☝️ Tripe is perfectly fine for most animals with food sensitivities/allergies.
Here I’ve purchased a 6lb bag of frozen raw tripe patties from @vitalessentialsraw and I thawed out 1 patty in my fridge. Once mostly thawed, I scooped and divided the majority of it into an ice cube tray. Once frozen, I put the ice cubes into a freezer safe bag with the date. I put the remainder of the thawed tripe into a glass lid container to mix about 1 teaspoon into each of my cats’ bowls, once per day. Once thawed, it will stay fresh in the fridge for 3-4 days. 🙌 Once per week, I will thaw out several ice cubes to divvy into their bowls. This is a really economical way to feed green tripe! 🐾
